I initially studied theatre at Missouris State University and earned a BFA in Theatre Performance and Lighting Design. I had taken a photography class in those days as well as other visual arts classes, however it was after moving to Los Angeles in 2000 that I rediscovered my interest in design and photography. I worked independently for a time and later decided to attend formal photo classes at Santa Monica College.
Having worked as an actor in various mediums, I understand first-hand the need for great headshots as well as the actor's method (THE Method or others as well :-) which helps me guide and direct a session to the actor's advantage. As an experienced headshot photographer and image editor, I also understand the changing expectations of the market and am highly skilled with digital imagery.
I combine these talents to get you great results! Recommended by large and boutique agencies alike, I can adapt sessions to meet agency standards. I enjoy the process and my clients always tell me how much they enjoy our sessions.

This is a shared studio space that is fully appointed to get the best of both natural and artificial lighting set-ups.
We have two professional make-up stations, two bathrooms, a shower, a full kitchen and other amenities to be sure.
Our downtown address provides the opportunity to get out into the environment for those who prefer to mix it up with some exterior location shots as well.
If you prefer to have a short tour and meet in person before your shoot, please call me to arrange a time.
Visits must be by appointment only.
